FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

FAQs

Finding your dream wedding dress is very exciting but as with any new experience, it can also be a bit confusing.

Below you will find the answers to our frequently asked questions.

How far in advance should I order my wedding dress?

It’s never too early to start looking! We recommend dress shopping a 12 - 18 months in advance of your wedding date. Depending on the designer that you choose, dresses can take 4-7 months to be made and delivered. You will also need to allow time for alterations (approximately 3 months).

Do I need to book a bridal appointment?

Yes, we are open by appointment only. We only have one bride in the shop at any time. This ensures privacy, excellent service and all our attention. Appointments can be made online through our website.

How long does a bridal appointment last?

Appointments last up to 90 minutes.

Who should I bring with me to my appointment?

We recommend bringing just a couple of people with you whose opinion you value and respect. When there are too many opinions it can become confusing and overwhelming for the bride. However, we can accommodate the bride plus 4 guests if required.

Can I bring children to my appointment?

We would discourage bringing young children with you to your appointment. As much as we love children, they can be quite distracting during a bridal appointment.

Do I need to bring anything with me to my appointment?

Wearing neutral coloured, seamless underwear is a good option. If you have quite a big bust then also wear a good fitting bra. Otherwise, it is best to take your bra off when trying on the dresses.

We also ask that you wear minimal make up with no lip stick or instant fake tan as these can stain the dresses.

What designers do you stock?

We are proud stockists of Justin Alexander, Lillian West, Sincerity Bridal and Ellis Bridals.

Can I see the dresses that you have in the shop available to try on before my appointment?

Yes, you can view all our dresses that we stock on our website in the gallery section. Please have a look though prior to your appointment with us and let us know if any jump out at you.

I want to try on a particular dress that you don’t currently have in stock. Is there any way you can get it for me?

Yes, our designers can loan out most of their dresses to us. So, if you see a particular dress from one of our designers but we don’t have it in stock, let us know and we will request to get it on loan.

What happens if I need a dress in a hurry?

Some of our dresses are available on a rush order and sometimes we can sell a sample dress off the peg. Just let us know if you are tight for time and we will let you know what options you have. We have never failed to get a bride a fabulous dress in time for her wedding.

What is your price range?

Depending on the designer, our prices range from £1000-£2000.

What sizes do you stock?

The majority of our dresses range from a UK 8 – 20. We also carry a curvy collection that range from a UK 22 – 28.

Is bridal sizing the same as high street sizing?

No, bridal sizing is often smaller than high street sizing. It’s likely that you will measure a size or two up from what you would normally wear. Your bridal consultant will take your measurements and compare them with the size chart. She’ll talk everything through with you.

Do you offer an alteration service?

We have a couple of fabulous independent seamstresses that we recommend, who we know you will be in safe hands with.

How do I pay for my dress?

We have 2 options:

  1. We take a 50% deposit when you place your order and the remaining 50% is paid when you come back to collect your dress (up to 6 months).

  2. A payment plan where you can pay over 4 equal payments over 4/5 months with 0% interest.

If you have any further questions or queries please don’t hesitate to get in touch and we would be happy to answer them.
